Jorge Pensi Design Studio

Jorge Pensi Design Studio was founded in 1984 in Barcelona’s Barrio Gótico, specializing in furniture and lighting design, communication and installations. Later, the studio became an international landmark for contemporary design. The studio’s minimalist and expressive design projects have won many awards. Some of the first products, such as the Toledo chair or the Regina lamp, are icons of Spanish design. In 1997 Jorge Pensi received the National Design Award from the Ministry of Industry and Energy and the BCD Foundation for his professional career. Diego Slemenson, Constanze Schütz, Roman Proubasta and Toni Casares work together with Jorge Pensi. In 2007 the team moved to a studio in Barcelona’s Olympic Village, near the sea.
